2026 WORLD ISLAND EXHIBITION YEOSU KOREA is now just two years away. 2026 WORLD ISLAND EXHIBITION YEOSU KOREA, held under the theme "Islands, Connecting Ocean and Future" is being organized as a global forum to share island cultures and propose sustainable models for island ecosystems and regional development. As a country blessed with more than 3,000 beautiful islands, Korea sees this expo as a valuable opportunity to showcase our island heritage to the world and shed new light on the value of islands.
Since its establishment in 2024, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 WORLD ISLAND EXHIBITION YEOSU KOREA has laid a strong foundation for the success of the expo by identifying ten key projects and securing an additional 42.8 billion won in funding. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has contributed with passion and dedication over the past year.
The year 2025 will be a pivotal period of full-scale preparations for the successful hosting of the WORLD ISLAND EXHIBITION YEOSU KOREA. We will do our utmost to create a magnificent expo—broadening our global networks, developing programs that harmoniously reflect island cultures, environments, and economic potential, and crafting spaces and content that offer visitors a truly memorable experience.
